President
Trump is visiting the UK so today we headed out to Parliament Square to see the
Baby Trump Balloon. We talked with
tourists from New Jersey and Georgia who were also there to see the
balloon. Turnout was very good. We decided to avoid the massive protest
demonstration later in the day.
There were a lot of interesting signs from people of all ages.
Parliament Square is home to a number of statues of British and foreign politicians (including Abraham Lincoln). One of the statues is of Millicent Garrett Fawcett, a suffragist organizer.
The day wouldn't have been complete without Phyllis being interviewed by a TV reporter. This time it was a news team from a Dutch station.
From there we headed over to the Museum of London to see their suffragette exhibits and then to lunch.

In
the afternoon we went to the London Palladium to see our third show, a revival
of The King and I. Wonderful casting and beautiful singing and
costumes…it was awesome.
It
rained while we were in the show and was very lightly sprinkling when we left
the theater. This is the first rain we
have had in England since our arrival.
The evening is cool and refreshing.
